Does Rocky Mountain HealthCare Partners accept insurance?
Rocky Mountain HealthCare Partners is a “cash-based” medical practice. We do not work directly with an insurance company on your behalf. Dependent on the specifics in your policy, you may be able to submit your receipt from Rocky Mountain HealthCare Partners for reimbursement.
Do you accept FSA and HSA cards?
Rocky Mountain HealthCare Partners is a medical provider and we can accept payment with your FSA and HSA cards. For your convenience, we also accept all major debit and credit cards.
Can you see patients in any state in the US?
Rocky Mountain HealthCare Partners employs only board-certified physicians who are able to practice medicine online and treat patients throughout the United States. No matter where you live in the US, you can book an appointment and get treated by one of our doctors.
Can I get pain medication through Rocky Mountain HealthCare Partners?
Due to DEA policy, telemedicine providers cannot prescribe controlled substances such as opiates and benzodiazepines including, but not limited to: Percocet®, Norco®, Vicodin®, Xanax®, Ativan®, Ambien®, etc., (ie: oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine, alprazolam, lorazapam, zolpidem).
How does it work? Do I need a special program or application?
Within 30 minutes from the start time of your scheduled appointment, your doctor will text/email (depending on the information you provide) you a link to a secure video chat. Simply follow the instructions and start your online visit!
How do I make an appointment?
I've booked an appointment -- what happens next?
- When you complete an appointment booking you will receive a text (if you’ve added your cell phone number – this is highly suggested) and email confirmation.
- Within 24 hours of your appointment, you will also receive a reminder email, and just a couple of minutes from the start of your appointment you will also receive a reminder text.
- Within 30 minutes from the start time of your appointment, you will receive a link via text/email (based on your designated preference noted when you made the appointment) to enter your secure, HIPAA compliant video chat.
- YOU WILL HAVE 10 MINUTES FROM THE TIME THE LINK IS SENT TO JOIN THE VIDEO CHAT at that point, the link and chat room will expire and you will need to re-schedule an appointment with your doctor.
- You will need a device with a camera and a WiFi signal.
- Simply click on the link, a quick diagnostic will be run on your WiFi signal, availability of a camera and microphone (please grant access to your camera & microphone when prompted.)
- Within seconds you will be automatically connected with your doctor to start your secure video visit.
- At the conclusion of your visit any prescription (if applicable) or labs (if applicable).

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
Rocky Mountain HealthCare Partners is a medical service open to everyone within the United States. All of our doctors have experience treating patients of all ages and can meet all basic needs online.
What do I need for my appointment?
Other helpful things to have on hand for your appointment are:
- a thermometer
- a blood pressure cuff
- a scale (or know your weight — for a medication prescription)
- an application on your phone to help you take your pulse and collect other vitals information
How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment(s)?
If I cancel my appointment will I be refunded my $79 fee?
Appointments can’t be rescheduled or canceled less than two hours in advance and will be charged the full $79 dollar appointment fee.
Is my information secure?
From the information you enter when setting your appointment through the actual video call — DigitalMD is HIPAA compliant.
